Special Issue Policy
A special issue is a focused collection developed around a defined scholarly theme. It remains subject to the journal’s normal standards for editorial independence, peer review, conflicts of interest, authorship and corrections.
Proposal Requirements
- Title, rationale and relationship to the journal’s scope
- Proposed guest editor names, affiliations, expertise and conflicts
- Provisional topics or invited contributors, without guaranteed acceptance
- Realistic submission, review and production timetable
- Plan for independent handling of guest-editor submissions
Editorial Safeguards
The Editor-in-Chief retains oversight. Every article is assessed individually; invitations do not guarantee publication. Guest editors must not handle manuscripts where they have a conflict. The journal may modify, postpone or cancel a proposed collection when quality or integrity requirements are not met.
